one sad day for felly

Featured Replies

This is what happens when you don't pay enough attention to driving.. luckily I'm well insured, so I'm up for loads of new parts.

Sorry to see that :(

Well folks, it's official now, I'm no longer a proud owner of a felly.. According to the insurance company, the repair costs are greater than the current value of the car and now we're fighting for the redemption price...

rest in peace, dear felly, you were a great car..

Awww. Really sorry to hear that.

You think you will get another Felly in it's place?

Phil

Not worth buying it and repairing the car using bit's from a breakers?

Not sure yet, still waiting for the offer from the insurance company. I haven't seen the actual repair report, so I really don't know what's broken, besides the obvious.

But I actually already have my eye on a -00 1.3 dark blue felly with only 110k km on the meter...

This might also turn out bad: I might get a ridiculously low sum and end up buying some old crap that's broken all the time..

We'll wait and see

update:

GREAT NEWS!!

The insurance company offered me 2,5k in exchange for the car. I asked about the damage and it turns out there's nothing that impacts the driveability or reliability of the car (except for the radiator), so everything is merely cosmetic damage. I asked for him to calculate a sum with which I coud keep the car as it is and the answer was....

I get 2,2k€ cash AND get to keep the car

Another felly saved , phew that was close..

Sounds like the insurance company where you are is more generous than the UK ones :) 2.2k Euros and no need to try encourage them to improve their offer.

Thats brilliant! Very good offer indeed.

Won't take much to fix that up at all.

Glad you have saved it.

Phil
