WTF is this about ???

Featured Replies

Your email server has got itself on the Barracuda blacklist. Barracuda make anti-spam appliances, and it looks like the chap you wrote to has one. They absolutely rock IMO.

You should check your server hasn't been compromised first though. Talk to your IT chaps.

Yes, if that's how your email is sent out.

How does your email get sent? Do you have a mail server at work? It's not ideal to use a dynamic address to send email directly, as this is what happens- some people permanently blacklist dynamic pools, and for those that don't, there's the chance of being assigned an address that someone else has spammed from.. If you can't get a fixed IP and set that up in DNS (with reverse addressing too), then it may be best to relay through BT.

It's just a simple pop account. Same a residential except we get charged more lol.

It's seems that it's only one address it's affecting which is TPS cardiff I only wanted the price of some power steering fluid lol. I had too do it the old way by using the phone.

Right. If it's just a POP account, I guess your SMTP server is one at BT then?

If so, BT have got themselves blacklisted :).

Barracuda will probably want a de-listing request from BT. If BT are on the ball they'll do it anyway, but as it's BT

The BT SMTP server is a ctually a swarm of servers, so one of them has had it's IP address blocked.

I'd moan at BT who should be able to route all your email via other servers/IPs

I'll see how it is Wednesday, it will probably switch IP by then anyway so should right itself :):)
