Ive tired a search but no luck!

There was a fabia vRS on here a while back with the air vent surrounds painted gloss black. I thought it looked rather good, and would like to do it myself, does anyone have any pictures of a fabia with them painted in that colour?

Also does the whole unit come out of the dash or can you carefully prise the surround off on its own?

I think you can get kits with different finishes (aluminium, carbonfibre, etc.). PEMBO's dash creak guide shows how the vents come out if you fancy a go yourself with the ol' Plastikote...

Thanks for that! great help, managed to get them out using a different method however - a blunt knife. Just slide it underneath where the clips are located on the bottom of the vent, and just turned the knife slightly, and out it popped!

Just need some pictures of them painted black now - so if anyone can help that will be great!

Hmm decisions, I think I will just do the air vents and leave the rest as it is.

Should I do it black magic, or just do them in gloss black?

Did mine with plastic primer and skoda's own silver paint. Finish is not perfect so I may well remove them over the summer and try the plastikote too.
