fitting some springs to my octy 1 vrs and was wonderin what is the quickest and easiest way to remove the front struts? the backs were straight forward but cud i balls get the fronts off!! gave up in the end as i was losin my patience with it.

But I've found that if doing it single handed it is far easier job if the lower arms are removed first and replaced last as trying to remove and then re-insert the ball joint plate into the arm is damn near impossible with only 2 hands.

It's also easier to compress the springs using a jack underneath and then fit the spring compressors loosely whilst the strut is still in place, as this effectively shortens the strut and makes a bit more manuovering room.
