How to remove cigerette lighter socket?

Featured Replies

Well, it's jumbo box install day.

Seems quite straightforward hopefully, got the old centre console out only to find different cigerette lighters on the old and new consoles.

Old has 3 feeds, new has 2 feeds with different attachments to the actual socket - think I read somewhere that the later consoles cig lighters don't light up, presumably what the extra wire is for on the old one.

Anyway, I'd rather not fiddle about with any wiring in the car so would like to swap the cigerette lighter sockets over, but can't figure out how to get the damn thing out!

Any help appreciated.

Didn't figure it out in the end I'm afraid - but I prefer the new socket which no longer lights up, the only one used to catch my eye when driving in the dark.

That's my excuse for being crap with a spanner anyway :)
