What to get from the US?

Featured Replies

I'm off to the states for a couple of weeks with work, and just thought I might be able to pick up some cheap car bits for the vRS, as they seem to be big on Mk4 1.8T Golf tuning over there.

Anything near Indianapolis would be handy, but I guess I can get it delivered to my hotel if not. Can anyone think of something?!

I was thinking along the lines of an ECS uprated coilpack harness, or a carbon engine cover...... something that size anyway!

Volkswagen Golf IV 1.8T > OEM / Performance Parts - ECS Tuning Inc

If anyone has any ideas please point me in the right direction!

Cheers guys

I hear GM might be going cheap :P, nice plot of land in downtown Detroit.

Haha ouch!!

It's pretty screwed for us too though. Cummins supply the diesel engines for the Dodge Ram, which is a brand of Chrysler, who are kinda bankrupt!

Cummins have had to 'temporarily' lay off 690 people working in the factory that makes the ram engines. Not good! Hopefully Fiat will rescue them.

Which also means they won't be wanting any VG turbos off us...... meh

Look at this site and get them to deliver to your hotel.

Detailing stuff is way cheaper over there - even at current exchange rates.

There are a number of "Halfords" type chains that all seem to stock a good range of products.

Walmart usually has a good selection too.

Wrinkle coated cam cover with stailess or carbon coil cover looks awesome!! I want one! I'm thinking black on black. $200 bargain. Red with carbon looks sweet too!

Hi postmanpat,

Maybe a Chevrolet (I think I spell this right) the one that is looking like the box on wheels, and I am calling ,'the mobile coffin box'. It is the ugliest vehicle that I ever see on Uk roads here.

Fuel... about 10,000 litres worth.

I hear you can buy houses for $100 but I doubt it would fit in his case.

Just remember they probably won't let you take any 'chemicals' on the plane when you come back.
