Remap

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

had the n75 valve replaced and the remap was finshed off. Got it up to 216bhp 243.5 lb ft torque.... feels 100undered times better although there still a little drop off at 3500rpm before it climbs back up... vince at SR said it could be spark plugs although they were replaced only 3k ago...he said you tend to feel the judder slightly more in my car then most and although its not a problem and ideas why?

Also whats the next mods to do for a little more bhp? was thinking induction kit. Is there any one in particular i should be looking out for?

thanks

Do a fault code scan to see if there are any problems with the throttle or MAF that could be causing that flat spot. Also worth checking the spark plugs are nice and tight, if they aren't torqued up it can cause the coil packs to mess about.

In terms of tuning there are all sorts of things you could do, exhaust, cold air intake, turbo inlet pipe, front mount intercooler etc etc. but they work best with a custom remap to make the most of them. And they are just the icing on the cake really, the remap is the biggest power gain for your money.

Better Handling so u can use the power u have and improve brakes also is what I would recommend

thanks guys ill do the checks and hope to solve the problem. i put ebc disks and pads on front and standard disks and pads on the rear.also racing fluid to boot so it stops pretty well now :)

Is it a misfire or a drop in boost?

Misfire could be a failing coil pack or your plugs maybe incorrectly gapped and partially blowing the spark out due to the extra air flow.

Hey problem solved atleast partly.. Had 2 air leaks and misfire on cylindar 1 and 3 so that fixed however couple hours after this it went into limp mode ! Only done it once in couple days but gotta go back and check for more fault codes! Her although I have put a BMC induction kit on it and next week it's getting a miltec system from the cat down put on.. So hoping that will sound great together! Just hoping to find out the corse of this limp mode problem now!
