Got a Vrs last night , is there anythng that i need to know or should be aware of ? anything i should check or ?

yeah it has its an ex rapid response paramedic one so had everything its ever needed:) turbos clutches etc

Check the fuse box on the battery, check the nuts are tight and that theres no corrosion or melting of the plastic, if the nuts become loose the heat can melt the wires leaving you stranded as the battery wont charge.

Check both fans come on with the aircon, they can sieze or burnout.

Wise advise when I got my VRS... :thumbup:

Check for corrosion immediately below the rear window (where glass meets metal). Common issue on early estate VRS (2003) was glass mounted fractionally too low. This meant it rested lightly on the metal lip and rubbed through the paint. Can get it fixed on corrosion warranty if caught early enough.

Thought I would add - unscrew the front wheelarch liners at the back (where they are closest to the drivers and passengers doors) and clean out behind them. You get loads and loads of leaves and muck building up there, they're like a couple of compost bins!
