Hi...how do i turn off the climate control on my car. Is it when ECON is displayed or AUTO or should it be nothing on the screen?

AUTO setting is ON eg it keeps cabin at the temp. set on control panel.

ECON means the clutch on the aircon pump is disengaged, effectivly off.

also if you select demist it turns off the climate untill you press AUTO again.

Just turn the fan speed down until the displays reads 'OFF'.

Foz is closer; but if you select demist, the air con still runs (unsurprisingly; the air drier is the best tool the Octy has in its demisting armoury).

If you just want to disengage the aircon (and save 0.1mpg) select Econ mode.

What Simon says describes how to turn the ventilation system off completely.

Modern aircon units use very little MPG.

If yours is, then you may have an issue with the compressor clutch.
