Help with internet forums.

Featured Replies

I need help, this is driving me mad.

My laptop died a couple of weeks ago and I've replaced it with a Dell.

The problem I have is related to the forums I visit on the net. If I make a post then return to the category menu I see no mention of my post:confused:

If somebody posts a reply I see it in the category menu but if I open the thread there's no new post.

If I search using my user name it still shows no new posts.

If I sign in to a forum I have to do it twice.

Refreshing each page brings things back to normal but I have to do this every time. It's getting on my nerves now:mad:

This happens with all internet forums, inc this one.

Do I have some settings wrong somewhere?

Any help appreciated:thumbup:

I've done a search and found nothing.

What browser, what operating system ............ etc might point someone to the problem.

Could it be the way it's caching the pages? Might be worth telling it to check for changes every time.

Ha, just what I was thinking after reading / checking this

"If you are using IE you can also try going to:

Tools > Internet Options > General > Temporary Internet Files > Settings > select "Every visit to the page"

This should force the browser to get a new version of the page every time. "
