Replacement Fabia VRS Alloys

Featured Replies

My local Skoda dealership has quoted me £260 all in to "refurbish" my alloys. Admittedly they are shot to pieces from numerous clips of the curb.

Do you experts think this is money well spent? Would I be better off getting complete replacements? How much would a new set of VRS alloys cost to supply and fit? Anywhere in the South East which does this service?

Thanks in advance!

Blakey

P.S. You guys rock!

My son had one replaced (Kwik-fit spoiled one and paid). It was about £130 + VAT

BJV Engineering - Alloy Wheel Refurbishing have been well recommended in the past.

Not sure if you are within the 40 mile free collection radius, but they are considerably cheaper than your dealer

Thanks Andy. Does look good but quite a way from me. I think I'll stick with the local dealer as the car is going in for a good all round face lift next week.

Cerainly at £130+VAT a pop it's cheaper to refurbish than to replace! So I'm glad I'm doing the right thing there.

Cheers!

I'd say more than £200 for 4 is expensive.

I got 4 wheels refurbed to mint condition from BJV for £150.

They are really very good

It really depends if you want powder-coating or a respray.

BJV do powder-coating which can look a bit 'Hammerite' but it's about as tough too. Spraying tends to be more expensive but gives a more OEM finish.
