Which one would you have (laptops)

Featured Replies

My laptop suffered a knock recently and it been written off. The insurance company have given me 550 quids too spend on a new one. The only catch being it has too be from PC world.

This is the one the insurance company recommend given my spec on the old one.

HP DV61130SA Laptops - Cheap HP Laptops. Buy the HP DV61130SA laptop at PC World.

Currys - Shop for Entertainment Laptops - ACER Aspire 6935G Stunning HD laptop ideal for gaming and movies

This is the one I fancy as its a little more entertainment based, which if I'm honest is more what the laptop is used for these days.

I found a load of reviews for the acer which seem too rate it well. Acer seem too have come on a long way recently. I know quite a few people who have them and have no problems with them. Strangley I can't find a single review for the HP model

If anyone can throw any thing else into mix then be my guest, just make sure it's from the DSG group :grumpy:

can't help sorry - i know nothing about laptops...:D

i don't understand your sig...

Your'e the dunce of the class lol.

As the for the sig

Listen too the first line ;)

I had a HP some years ago and it was good and only had one thing repaired under warranty which was the inverter for the screen. A friend bought it and it's still going strong.

Personally though I would go for the Acer out of those two.

Toshiba are very good. I have a tablet provided through work and then have 16 toshiba's and they're very well built and reliable but I think they are slightly more pricey.

I was thinking Toshiba actually but yes they are a little bit more.

The acer has a blingy media thing on the left which does look a little ott but then I do use the lappy for media so it should come in handy.

Been browsing reviews again and the the quality of these models is supposed to be a big step up for Acer.

I havn't found a bad review yet

Yup. They have touch controls for volume, stop, play, etc etc which are back-lit too so yeh pretty 'blingy'.

Can't find anything better than that tbh so go for it!

I have some tablets provided by the hospital. Green and grey ones...:D

Of all the laptops I have owned, I have found HP to be the best :)

I agree. They make nice sauce too...:)

I've an HP and it's been faultless for 2 years and SWMBO does abuse it.

I agree with others that Toshibas are very good too and I've a mate who swears by Samsung.

I'd choose an HP or Tosh before an Acer myself.

I'm leaning toward the Acer although it goes against the grain, it can't be beaten for the features.

And the finger print reader is definately a winner as it will stop everyone using it when I'm out. Which is what happened with my last one which is now dead:D

Chuck D would not be impressed with your spelling and incorrect use of punctuation.
