Random alarm malfunction

Featured Replies

1.9Tdi Ambiente 2005. Alarm has started going off randomly.

Have read related threads on water ingress, sensor corrosion etc.

But this has been happening during the last few days of hot weather.

Also, boot has not been responding to button, and rear wash/wiper not working.

Then working a few hours later. Grrrr.

All of this follows a routine service when fuel, oil and air filters were replaced.

A sheer coincidence I believe as I see no connection between these and the alarm.

Any help or advice greatfully received.

Thanks !

try and find someone with a vag com, it might be something simple as a loose wire or sensor moved..

I'd say faulty boot switch/sensor base on what you've said, or the loom's corroded somewhere to affect all that.
