How to replace fuel pump?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I have a Fabia Sedan (2004, 1.2 HTP, AZQ) car.

I bought it in 2008 December as the second owner.

After I start the car, an annoying buzzing noise comes from the back immediately.

According to the Skoda Service, this is abnormal and caused by the fuel pump.

They said that the former owner supposedly ran out of fuel once (or more) and this

might cause the problem.

They tried to replace to fuel filter first, but the noise hasn't disappeared.

The only thing to do is to replace the fuel pump.

Can you help me with that?

I know that it is located under the back seats. but nothing more.

I'd like to buy a non-skoda part, it is cheaper (~90 USD) than the original

Flick the rear seat base up and remove the cover.

Underneath is the fuel pump. Knock the outer ring around (anti clockwise) and disconnect the lines and plug, you can then withdraw the pump.
