hey guys, ive been offered a cheap xenon/hid conversion kit for my 51 plate vRS

am i right in thinking that the main beam bulb fitment on the car is h4?

ive done a bit of google-ing here at work and some sources are saying h4, some say h7?

anyone shed any light on the subject??

Mk1 Octavia are H4, and if you are fitting HiD's be aware that they MAY be illegal because OEM HiD kits have self-levelling adjusters. I wouldn't worry too much as long as they don't dazzle oncoming drivers. Also, make sure the HiD kit is Bi-Xenon (this means normal & Hi-beam in one) as some kits only offer a regular driving beam, so your 'flasher' headlight function and hi-beam would cease to work.
