Reputable Laptop battery stores?

Featured Replies

My Toshiba Sattelite A100's battery as of the last few days is now only lasting minutes. Used to last well over an hour - 2.5 when new. It's just hit 2yrs old.

It's a PA3399U 2BRS 4400mah, whoever I'd like to get a higher capacity 8800mah battery instead. Not sure the official Tosh number though.

Anyone any experience of decent retailers with reasonable prices without being some cheap Chinese battery that'll blow up.

Thanks.

Saving up for the 8800mah version instead. Only an extra £15, but dont have a spare £80 ATM, so she'll just have to live on mains power.

Make sure it's branded (look for holograms etc). The rip offs have a habit of exploding.

Hence me asking here ;)

I think thats the same battery my Equuim A110 uses, which is also fubared and currently has a run time of about 10mins from fully charged.

I might try for an aftermarket non oem battery on mine, the non oem battery we use on a really old laptop is still going strong after more than 3 years. The official Tosh replacement will most likely go the same way as the first in a short period of time.

Where did you source that battery from Manny?

The official Tosh battery is around £100+, and OEM 4400mah around £60. 8800mah is £75 from the site posted above

Not sure because my dad got it for me, we did have to wait a while for stock to arrive from China that I do remember.
