iphone and skoda bluetooth

Featured Replies

Never had a problem with the skoda bluetooth kit with all my sony ericsson phones, but in last couple of days any journey over 20 minutes has resulted in the iphone disconnecting and not reconnecting leaving the message "please insert phone". is there anything i can do to stop this happening either on the iphone or on the car bluetooth with vag com?

anyone else having this problem

Iphone 2's (even 3's) have cheap BT modules in order to be power efficient.

It's a common issue I hear from the folks in work with the Ford system too.

Bloody Apple!

I have a Parrot MKi9000 kit and that works flawlessly with the iPhone so it can't be that cheap

I think it is more to do with the fussy nature of the Skoda OEM Bluetooth.

All depends how often the kit pulses to find a device when lost.

Parrot have one of the best device scans (lowest time between), so could be it is dropping and you're not seeing it happen. ;)

Nope cos it gives a little drum roll noise everytime it connects so would hear it.

As i said its more likely due to the fussy nature of the OEM bluetooth. Basically if your phone aint on the list it doesn't like it much and sometimes even if it is it doesn't like it anyway :D

my iphone works fine with my SE BT headset, just see how it goes this week and check that the aerial in the BT unit is plugged in properly later.
