I just did a TBA with vag-com, went fine, but under adaptation step cnt. (which is supposed to be a value between 0-8) I get 8. Is this the maximum adaptation value or the minimum? Maximum, I guess, would mean I have to clean the damn thing...

I know how too do it but don't know what the numbers mean sorry :o

always worth giving it a clean if you haven't already. Only takes a couple of minutes the third+ time :D

If using a VAG1552, you would be looking to see 8 in Field 3 and ADP runs, ADP o.k in Field 4. That is after selecting 01 - Engine Electronics, Function 04 then Display Group 60. I don't know how that translates across to VAG-COM.
