fabia suspension

Featured Replies

hmmm surely if these are for all fabia's then it must be some mistake, the vrs is heavier than say a 1.2 isnt it so would need different coilovers?

I had coilovers like that when i first got my fabia, they did the job, but i went through 4 sets of rear shocks

well im sure theyl last longer than the standard shocks, anyone else had the trouble of the foamy/rubber bit on the cover breaking off, then the cover flaps around

I've seen as many people praising those cheap coilovers as I have people slating them.

You pays your money, you takes your choice.

Bumpstops coming apart as a very common issue and effect just about all VAG cars.

AP (budget Coilovers), Weitec (mid-range) and KW (high-end) are all brands of the same manufacturer and generally AP are regarded as OK.

Do remember this is your cars suspension you're planning to buy cheap off ebay. The bit that help determine if it goes around corners or not. Generally, when it comes to cars, anything cheap is bad.

And they're in Belgium, so good luck with warranty claims, and they're so enthusiastic about cars they have a picture of a Fabia II S2000 in the advert.

I'm sorry, but I just don't get a warm feeling about that particular seller.

It's spurious, unsubstantiated claims like 'approx 30% uprated over standard' that get my ears twitching. That, and the fact they call themselves 'UKno1' when they're not in the UK... :ne_nau:

Electric supercharger, anyone? :P

Just replaced the rear bump stops or buffers (on my vRS) as my local skoda dealer had them listed as, cost about £14 for the pair IIRC and took about 2 hours to fit both. Fronts ones are a bit trickier, think you need spring compressors
