need new undertray

Recommended Posts

Sounds about right, I opted for some bodging together and a few extra self tappers into a few extra metal clips my dad had laying around. It's not perfect but it's not hanging down onto the floor anymore and cost about £2. I guess it depends how good you want it to be. I just wanted to stop it scraping on the floor every time I hit a slight bump in the road. I would have removed it but I believe it provides a small amount of sound deadening and as I have a diesel I need all the help I can get with reducing noise.

Do you mean the plastic thing under the engine? Last time I got a price for this from a dealer it was about £25

Mine has never had the central undertray, but then it's not a diesel.

Just the two side splash guards that are about £25-30 each (I listed them in the parts sticky), and the short front splash guard.

Remove your undertray and see how it affects the noise, because £180 is a complete rip off for such a simple crappy part!

It appears that bodging the tray is not too good an idea. Mine has started to come off again. In fairness, the bit I bodged is still holding strong and its now the back part thats falling off.
