cd changer problem

Featured Replies

Hi i have a 07 octavia tdi cd changer doesn't work there is no power.

any help would be appreciated .:rotz:

check all the connections, then look for blown fuses on the fuse panel. Look on forum for which fuse covers the radio/changer.On most cars ,if you dont know which fuse may be blown ,take one fuse ONE at a time, noting where it is placed. Look at each fuse to see if you have a blown one. There may be the odd fuse behind the radio (or on the rear of the radio ). If all of this fails then the fault is inside the changer or radio . You may find by unplugging , and refitting may make it work again.Sometimes a motor inside stops in a place ,where it cannot start ,and gently tapping gets it to work.

You should be able to find fuse allocations in your user manual.

Have you got a hands free phone kit installed? - if so and you've checked the above it could be that the connection to the changer hasn't been transferred over to the phone connector block that goes into the back of the radio.
