I have conducted various web searches and spoken to a few people but I can not fix an issue with my new kenwood head unit (DNX5220).

I have fitted an aerial booster, connecting the blue wire to the HU's red live wire, so everything (I believe) is set up ok, but I have absolutley no AM reception and my FM is clear with local stations only.

The car is barely a year old and the previous Skoda HU worked perfectly well, with quite good radio reception, so the aerial should be ok.

I've run out of ideas.

Can anyone shed any light on my issue?

I never managed to resolve this on mine. Antenna adapter seemed to be doing its thing and delivering power to the mast amp, just always dire reception. I just didn't listen to the radio for 3 years. Didn't miss much.
