Leaking Rear Doors Fabia Extended Warranty

Featured Replies

Has anyone had problems getting rear leaking door seals done under extended warranty? the bloke at the skoda garage said there was a chance skoda wouldnt do it under the warranty and im feeling rather upset!:thumbdwn:

Im bloody p****d off with this. I picked up my vRS on friday and have just found the rear O/S door is leaking, rear pass side is fine. Is it just the rear door trims which need resealing or can this happen up front or in the boot aswell?

The guy said there was a tec note out on the problem, and i dont feel after paying over the odds for a car from a skoda dealer i should fix it myself!!, i had a wet boot but that was from the washer pipe popping off the motor!

The problem with having the door carriers sealed at a dealer, is the sealer they use is expensive, and not that great unless applied perfectly to dry surfaces. Unibond 3 in 1 sealer is best and only £10 for a large cartridge.
