Snow foam & Karcher

Featured Replies

Hello all,

My dad has a Karcher K235DB pressure washer which has an inbuilt detergent tank. Can i use a dilution of snow foam and water in that and use the standard lance or do i need to buy the bottle which goes on the lance.

OK i've just read some reviews on this and they seem to mention the autobrite lance so has anyone on here have a Karcher K235DB and used snow foam in the inbuilt detergant tank with the standard lance, what kind of results did you get?

I'm not usually shy on spending a few notes but unfortunatley i have to watch the pennies due to unemployment. :thumbdwn:

The foam lances you see for sale are made to inject air as well as chemical at the opening. If you PM me your address I'll send you a spare Kaercher foam lance I have lying about. It's not as good as the full-on units, but it's pretty good for a Kaercher freebie.

my in built karcher unit on my 620M soon gave up the ghost (wouldnt push the foam through no more)... then i got the HD lance add on from clean your car website... and 10 X better foam application than the in built karcher ever gave

I have one of those washers that I used to use and I'd say no that won't foam up snow foam. If you get a snow foam lance that will work fine on it, the Karcher one works well as a prewash lance rather than full on foam too.

The more expensive Kaercher kits come with a specific snow foam lance. It makes perfectly decent foam, but not as good as the £50 AB one that we all tend to use.

Is the Autobrite unit the one to go for? Where should I get one?

I must admit, I originally only wanted one because they look like fun....

That advert is quite interesting as they describe their foam as non-caustic but mildly alkaline, so which is it?

The lance is the same one everyone is selling. It's a basic venturi pickup with a drilled plate to cause foaming.

It's always the same unit, at more or less the same money. Take your pick.

I have a karcher pressure washer but i use a different foam lance most of the time even though i have a standard one which is ok and does the job ive also noticed mine has an in built detergent unit but ive never used it and dont know how to ?

So how? lol

cheers

Will any Karcher be ok with one of these? Or does it have to be a certain spec?

Cheers

They'll all work, but the greater the flow (not pressure) the better the foam.
