Hi all, can someone give me some guidance of what grade of oil to use in the gf's mk4 ibiza 1.2 12v?

Semi or Fully Synthetic and what weight is to use?

Does your manual give a VW spec or any oil specs for that engine?

If you can tell us what it should use, then I guess we should be able to suggest some good oils at fair prices, which is what I assume you're after.

The car its self has had a recent service, but its half way between the hatched area at the moment.

Im wanting to keep a bottle spare for top ups at the moment.

I've not been around the car recently to have a look at the owners manual, so i thought i'd try on here for a quick answer from any fellow 1.2 12v users.

From another thread it seems it was designed with VW502 oils in mind so if you find one of them that should be fine for a top up.
