Hi i have just blown my gearbox cracked the casing probably a bad bearing. I am in New Zealand so not many Vrs down here, i need to find a new gearbox that will fit my car from a VW or Audi what model gearboxs will fit. Is it only the EHA or will others work and what other cars use the EHA gearbox,

Golf mk4 1.8t 5 speed box will be your best bet.

So any 02J box will fit and i presume that the EHA code just means what internal ratios are inside the box

does anyone know what sort of price one of those gearboxes would go for in the uk and what is a good website to check parts like that
