Mk3 Ibiza Cupra Suspension...Help! Weitecs?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Now I know this isn't a Skoda, but I need some advice on behalf of a friend with a 2002 Ibiza Cupra 1.8T. I received less-than-helpful responses on SeatCupra.net, so now I'm turning to you friendly lot :D

Anyway, he recently bought the car and is now looking to begin his modifications. He wants it to be quite low but still comfortable enough to be usable day-to-day. It's currently sitting on Gmax shocks and springs, and the ride is horrendous!

He has a budget of approx. £800 for suspension. I was thinking that the Weitec version of the KW V2's (TX's I think they are called) may be suitable. Anybody got any general experience of what these are like, or indeed any alternatives? Is there much benefit in having adjustable damping as well as ride height?

Mods, feel free to move this if it's not in the right section

Many thanks,

Andrew :)
