Fantastic job..how do you manage to get such good pics with the brinkmann,,do you wait until it's dark, or is it possible to do during the day..i've got a brinkmann, and have never been able to spot faults like that....please shed some light on this

Excuse the pun hey....

Are you struggling to spot faults on your camera with the Brinkmann or just spotting faults with the Brinkmann full stop?

The key to spotting swirling with the Brinkmann is not to be too close to the car with it. I usually stand a few feet away then put the Brinkmann above my head and slightly behind me and it works very well. On the other hand the Brinkmann isnt always the best tool for fault spotting, sometimes if they are just Random Deep Scratches then roof strip lights are very good at highlighting those.

Im sure you will have seen others using various lighting to aid them in finding all the various types of fault in a paint wether they be Brinkmanns, 3M Sun Guns, regular strip lights or Halogen floodlights they all have their plus points and negative points in terms of the faults they'll highlight and also mask.

It was a real shame about the wheels, The owner was rather upset about them too because they were letting the overall look of the car down once it had been detailed.

I would say there are people out there that could re-furb them but I am a little un-sure on the exact process which would have to be taken to repair them, With them looking like they are chromed with a laquer over the top they could possibly have to be stripped right back to bare metal, re-chromed and then re-laquered

It was a real shame about those wheels and I would love to know what the exact cause of them going like that was.

I myself was really impressed with some of my new products, especially the Lusso Oro revitalising creme it doesnt half make the paint look dripping wet. The Dodo Juice supernatural was real easy to apply and buff and also added to the gloss of the paintwork.

Since doing the detail I have also purchased some Dodo Juice Born to be Mild shampoo and I am really impressed with this stuff, you dont need alot to make the water really slick and for me it knocks spots off the Megs Gold Class shampoo that I got from the group buy.
