Removing the CAT will cause the check engine light to be permanently lit - which is why I haven't done it.

But yes the Golf 1.8t part will be the same.

I would say definatley no.

Even some of the sports cats (Cell 100 types) are very borderline.

Most folks with Decats, just replace to original downpipe for MOT's
