New member with an octavia wrc

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I'm a fairly new member, having just brought an 02 plate octavia wrc.

Mine is number 72, out of the hundred made, has been well looked after by its one previous owner who has just turned 70!! Only 33k on the clock, so lots of life left in it!

I've been trying to find out some history on this car, some of which I've found...

The car was re-mapped by Skoda's when new, and on a power run has shown 197bhp at the wheels, so not bad.

Has any one had any luck with these re-maps that claim to get you nearer the 220 / 230 bhp mark? If so, let me know what you went for. From some of the bad reports I've read, I'm tempted to leave it alone...

I'm based near Portsmouth, in Hampshire, any of you guys near by?...

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to seeing what some of you guys have to say.

Matt

welcome to the forum:thumbup:

197 is low for a remapped octy should see over 200 in regular state:thumbup:

does it still have the stickers????

to get the 220 to 230 you will have to do a few mods to get there......

add your car to the list in the octy1 forum section as yours isnt on there wich is good to see we have found another one

Hi Matt,

I'm just a tiny bit north east of Fareham, so fairly close to you, if you ever need any help:D

Hi there,

The car had the graphics removed by the previous owner, all except the green on the bumpers.

I will try & add the car to the owners register on here.

I've sent an email to superchips, who claim can add 38bhp to a standard car... we'l see...

matt go with someone else buddy just do some searches on here to see why buddy...

Hello and welcome.

197 at the wheels is alright?

Remapped would be 210-ish at the flywheel

Welcome :D
