Octy 1 Alarm?

Featured Replies

Hi

Did the vRS (2003) come fitted with an alarm? Its just my window morot has gone and its not quite up and nothing has gone off.. Im assuming there isnt one, so, will there be an imobiliser? If there isnt, can anyone reccomend a good one to get fitted? Is it worth going for any fanc bits on top of an alarm? (i.e., remote start which I have seen advertised)

Thanks

MAtt

no mate never came with an alarm just an imobiliser

if someone wants your car they will take it with or without an alarm save your money

thats always my thinking to be honest....if its got an imobiliser that will do for me.....after market alarms worry me bcause i remember when they would go off all the time.

Save my money i think :)

My factory alarm goes off without warning. If there is a raised button shape in the centre of the windscreen air vent on the dash, then there is a factory alarm installed IIRC.

in my opionion... if you do go for an after market alarm then i can and will whole heartedly say that clifford is the way to go...

had one on last car and now on this, and never falsely triggered.. ok so a lot of that is down to the installer i know... and proximity sensing in my area is a must with chavs every where lol... this time i will make sure to get it serviced though.. so dont have repeat of the jumping and writing it off lmao

oh and i have black jax too.. which helps to protect

Thats the sunlight sensor iirc

For the air con like :)

I guess that is part of the climatronic, as my first RS only had basic aircon, and no "button" on the dash vent.

Apologies if my last post mislead the OP. My bad.
