RDS 'Automatic' v 'Fixed'

Featured Replies

I’m getting a lot of traffic warnings from radio stations that are a long way off ,as I traverse the Midlands. Getting fed up with pressing the Cancel button for irrelevant information. I note that the Bolero has the option of an ‘Automatic’ or a ‘Fixed’ setting for RDS. If I switch to ‘Fixed’ , what would it be fixed on?

No information in either manual. (BTW specifically mentions that SDHC cards do not work)

BBC Radio Leicester by any chance? I'm afriad I don't anything particularly useful to say as regards your stereo but I think radio leicester have a ridiculously powerful transmitter, I've had their traffic announcements in Wolverhampton and Stoke before.

Don't know about the bolero, but all rds have the option to cancel traffic info...play with your buttons

Copied this from the Bolero manual:

Memory card case

SD memory cards (“Secure Digital Memory Cards”), SDHC (“Secure Digital High Capacity Card”) and MMC (“Multimedia Cards”) measuring 32 mm x 24 mm x 2.1 mm and with a capacity of up to 32 GB are available. The case for the memory card is located under the display.

isn't that just saying that you can store an SDHC memory card in the memory card case??

edit: actually no, i'm being an idiot there aren't i! :D (otherwise why is GB size an issue! :D )

Was going by the printed Bolero/Octavia manual. Maybe the online one is more recent.Query has been answered under the ICE part of the forum.Thanks.

Aware that you can switch TP off -but occasionally road closures do occur in the frozen wastes of the High Peak.
