I’m getting a lot of traffic warnings from radio stations that are a long way off ,as I traverse the Midlands. Getting fed up with pressing the Cancel button for irrelevant information. I note that the Bolero has the option of an ‘Automatic’ or a ‘Fixed’ setting for RDS. If I switch to ‘Fixed’ , what would it be fixed on? No info in manuals.

As found on page 14 of the online Bolero pdf manual:-

Switching the RDS function on or off (RDS regional)

– Press on the function key [RDS Regional] and select a set-up in the

opening pop-up window.

– Press on the function key [automatic], doing so will always choose the

frequency for the radio station heard, which offers the best reception

at the present time.

– When pressing on the function key [fix], the unit attempts to hold a

radio station emitting regionally long enough until the reception

quality is so bad, that there is a risk of a program loss.

Thanks for finding that. I think the 'fix' setting is the one I need to listen to stations 'emitting locally' in North Derbyshire rather than Radios Stoke, York, Humberside , Leicester, Nottingham etc. I hope that if the 'fix' setting loses reception it will switch to another 'emitter'?
