After lowering my car on Eibach springs, my headlights think I have got 3 120-kilo friends in the car and a body in the trunk. The light pattern reaches something like 1,5 meters in front of the car.

I have tried adjusting them by VAGCOM, but it never worked. I am wondering how it should be done properly? Anybody did it by themselves?

Help now seriously needed as I tried to adjust them from the adjustment wheels on the top. One of them packed up and is now pointing all the way down and I can not adjust it with the wheels in any direction. The automatic adjustment did not work from them beginning, even before I touched them. My mate's vrs adjust the headlights whenever I sit on the hood. You can clearly see and hear it. Mine does not do anything at all.

Help! :(

You need to have VAG COM in and in address word 55

Enter basic setting 001

When the text tells you to adjust them do so and the go into 002, this will learn the new position.

If the wheel has been adjusted without the lamp in basic setting then as soon as it tried to self level it will either run the motor off its end stop or break the motor

My auto adjustment did not worked from the beginning. I had the two headlamps replaced under warranty, because they were getting steamy every time it rained. I think that something went pete tong when they changed them. :( Do you have any idea how to fix it, if it is off the end?

Everything fixed now. The manual adjustment has a ball joint inside the headlamp, which had popped out, after I made a lot of revolutions on the adjustment wheel. Managed to put it back together somehow. Logged in via VAGCOM, adjusted them manually and saved the new setting. Now everything is working, but the headlights are a bit higher so I guess I will have to adjust them again tomorrow.

This is exactly what you need to do to adjust your original xenon headlights:

[55 - Xenon Range]

[basic Settings - 04]

Group 001

[Go!]

The meas. block field now shows "Wait" and should switch to "Adjust Headlights" then (this may take up to 10 seconds).

Adjust the headlights using their manual adjusting screws as referenced against a suitable aiming target.

Group 002

[Go!]

The adjustment should now be learned.
