I have just had the mechanism for the driver's side window on my 54 plate Superb replaced, having caught it just before it failed completely. I had an identical problem on my second Passat (which stuck in the down position): have I just been unfortunate, or is it a common problem? Is there anythig that can be done to make it last a bit longer?

i to have just bought a 2005 superb, my passenger side front regulator went then the drivers side went, i bought genuine parts from german swedish and french at £70 plus vat each, in doing so you get 1 years warrenty
