Headlight removal, also a rant!!

Featured Replies

Having to remove my drivers side headlight this weekend, not hard you might think. Anyone who has removed one before will know the fun with getting it screwed back in.

The screw under the indicator next to the wing is possibly the most annoying thing on the whole task. Trying to get the bolt lined up staight is such a pain.

I have to do mine with a hex key coz I don't have a hex adaptor and extension for my socket and drive set... it's a real pain in the a$$ I find if you blu-tak the screw to the hex bit / key then you can get it in the right position before you start screwing it in

Never had an issue with this! Maybe it's because I have a s****y Britool bit driver, which is also magnetic. Holds the screws a treat....

Had mine apart loads of times. Always comes apart and goes back together with no issues. Simples.

Speaking of headlights being removed anyone know what bulb to get for full beam and fog when you have xenon lights?

Well jobs done, new headlight motor fitted. Worst part was getting the third screw in place with the arm and not overtightening it.
