The final countdown.....!!

Featured Replies

I am now on the final countdown - Friday 4th September 2pm (BST) I will go to collect my Elegance 1.9TDi DSG. :woohoo:

Colour: Anthracite Grey Metallic

Options added: Xenon lights, Front parking sensors, ESP, Heated front seats, Electrically adjustable driver's seat, TPM, Light Assistant, MFSW.

I am also having the anthracite floor mats and the paintwork Supaguarded.

I ordered this car on the 12th June and it has been a long, long wait....I am like a child at Christmas :wmann3: and I cannot wait to take ownership !

This forum is fantastic - it has answered so many questions for me. So big thanks to all posters for providing such a depth of information. :bowdown1:

U might want to wax it yourself rather than let them apply the stuff with their swirl-o-matic applicator.

What about the spare wheel?

Car is at the dealer already, Skoda Insure have contacted me (on a Bank Holiday Monday) to confirm details and they have sent the cover note to the dealer about 25 minutes ago.........not sure that much else can go wrong now......:inq:

not sure that much else can go wrong now....

I guess as mentioned above, the dealer could wash, polish and wax it.

I am due to pick up my new car any day now but I want it in pristine condition obviously i.e. no scratches or swirls inflicted by the dealer. I have bought all the products required to wash, clay and protect the car myself but don't the dealers have to wash the car in order to do the PDI?

"Ah, Mr Smoo. We have some bad news for you. Last night, the ground opened up and swallowed your new car. Never fear, our sales manager is digging it out with a JCB now. In the mean time, please accept this Skoda bicycle as a loaner."

Skoda did start out making bicycles... :)
