Service 90k

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a 2001 1.4 Octavia and I was thinking of geting it serviced by a local garage. It's a pretty good shop but not a Skoda service point but they did my timing belt for 75Euro after I got the parts from Skoda so they are certainly great value for money. Its due it's 90k service and I was quoted quite a high price for a basic service from my local Skoda dealer. Can anybody tell me what I should be thinking of getting for the service?

Apart from the obivious ones here, any other suggestions?

Replacement Oil.

Air Filter

Oil Filter

Polen filter

Brake pads

Brake discs

Engine flush

Injection cleaner

Brake fluid replacement

Gearbox fluid replcement

Colant replacement

Washer fluid

Im going to replace the shocks as well.

What else should I get done while under the service?

Anything meachanical I should ask to be looked at or done. Handbreak ajustement and so on?

Any help would be appreaciated.

Also would there be anybody in Dublin that would eb able to reset the service meter in the VAG?

Many thanks guys.

Fuel Filter & Throttle Body Clean are the two which spring to mind.
