Engine Mount??? Please Help

Featured Replies

I have a 03 Skoda superb comfort 2.5 TDI. It has done 125K Miles and there is a small creek noise when ever i move the car in the first gear or change it to a second gear.

This noise seems to be coming on the passenger side and recently i have changed all the suspension arms & links but still the noise still seems to be coming.

The noise seems to come when i release the clutch. Another mechanic thinks that it can be the engine mount but i am not fully compromised. which proves that there is no problem with the engine mount

When i try to move the car with my hand brake on the noise doesn't seem to come.

Also i have spoken to the sales guys in Skoda and they haven't ordered an engine mount to any other Skoda superb and believe that the are not bound to be failure?

I am bit confused so please can any one help me???

Check the small snub mount at the front of the power unit. The rubber insert usually ends up fretted to destruction.

Have you had new brake pads recently?

Yes i have got new brake pads recently

Yes i have got new brake pads recently

That will probably be the creak then, depending on which ones you used and what you greased the backs with, I've just slumg a cheap set in mine and used some highly tacky grease the guy at GSF gave me and everytime I put it in reverse gear it sounds like the suspension is cracking, I'd investigate this 1st if I were you.
