Car Mats

Featured Replies

Picked up my new Octavia today but the dealer didn't have any ivory (or beige) car mats listed as an accessory and advised me to go to Halfords instead. (just as well as the black ones were £59 ! :(

However I'd prefer to have some tailored to suit the car and with the clip on fixings for the plastic spigot things on the floor.

Can anyone recommend the best source of some good quality ones ?

type in 'vrs car mats' to eBAY mate. They do them with the VRS logo and good quality.

Sellers name is: wecarmats

I have bought from them before, good quality mats, good fit but logo is just sown on rather than stitched inti the mat.

The trouble with non OEM mats (Halfrauds) is getting the correct shape for the drivers mat especially with the floor mounted throttle pedal unless the new face lift Octy has gone back to the old style pedal?

Octavia 2 VRS matts , set of 4, are £37 from the stealers, or £39 for the standard ones. Make sure you check whether you have tabbed or push fit retainers though.

IIRC the special order mats from Halfords are nearly all black! They are the only one that tend to have the option to be fitted by floor clips!

However they do, or did have, beige mats on the shelf BUT they're absolute garbage as they move all over the floor due to the poor backing and can get stuck under the pedals!

Good Luck!

I am not sure but.... why would the OP want vRS mats in his Elegance?

Good point but those who sell VRS mats would also probably sell non-VRS mats too. I expect that it's not possible to get VRS mats in Ivory (or beige) anyway as it is not a colour option on the VRS.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I'll check them out

I ordered grey ones for my car recently and they were £39 all in front and rear!

Beige ones are listed as part ZGB1Z2061229 in the July brochure and are £34.26 but when I enquired at the dealer when I picked up my car he said they were £59 but no longer available. Maybe I should check with another dealer.

Thanks Nathanio, Macclesfield is that far from me, I don't go there very often but would be worth a trip if they have them in stock although I could get them to post them.

(it's the same part number as quoted in the Octavia brochure but fro some reason they're £3 more expensive)

Grasemere will post them for you if you buy them online (our that is the impression I get from their site)

Does the FL VRS have the vrs logo mats as standard or are they a dealer option ?

What I have seen they do not, then are black with silver edging, as yo will find in the vrs brochure pictures (not very good ones). The vrs mats are I think for the pre FL version, but no doubt would fit. I think the VRS logo has changed slightly?

i was looking for some mats recently and found this site which looks good for getting the colour and piping you want as they make them custom and the price is good. three different levels of price depending on how "luxurious" you want. http://www.mrcarmats.com/skoda-octavia-2004-current-1869.html

the only thing for me is that my 05 Octavia doesnt seem to have the fastening holes :/ so i need to e-mail them and get some special ones made :)

i bought some cheap ones from halfords that werent specific to the car and they are RUBBISH! keep slidding all around the place and spinning.... pay an extra tenner and get some that are specific to your car would be my advice

I got some from carmats4u for my evoque. Were twice the quality and half the price of oem ones.

Holy thread revival batman ;)

Mrcarmats on eBay, red mats with black and red edging look great I'm my Corrida Red Vrs, I chose the middle price option and they are very smart.
