Speedo and fuel gauge

Featured Replies

Hi I started my vrs the other day and the fuel gauge worked then died when I drove off I noticed the speedo was not working either...

Any ideas welcome cheers.

I have had a similar problem, i was driving and it was all working fine, then all the dash dials just all turned off and went to 0.

it comes back on randomly and then back off anhd on and so on. I too would love some insight on this if anyone has some.

Thanks

Its a very common problem, it can be fixed temporarily by pulling a fuse with some caveats. A quick search should reveal 2 threads, one with a poll in that you can vote and another with details of 2 possible fixes.

If thats the problem then it will be the first vRS on here to have suffered from it, all the others were 1998-2001 N/As or diesel Octavias IIRC

Hi there,

The problem lies in some problems with the circuit board

of the instrument cluster. If anyones interested I

can fix the problems at a reasonable rate.

You´ll have send me your instrument cluster

(I´m in Sweden). Once received I´ll do the repair

asap and then send the unit back to you.

Drop me an e-mail if of interest:
