Purely out of interest WHY does the Octy have that tower oil filter ?

Anyway years ago when I was young and had money, I took a real interest in cars, engine, fuel system you name it.

Those were the days when men were men and women were women, but cars rusted overnight, and you had things called kingpins.

The years passed and I just drove cars. :(

Now an old git @ 57 ! I find myself HAVING to get interested in the technicalities again otherwise I loose out.

Lifted the engine plastic cover ( the one that makes it look pretty for women) to be AMAZED !

The oil filter sits on top of a `tower’, separate from the engine ?

Nice, easy to remove but WHY ?

Or is the plastic cover there to hide it ;):):D
