Having fun in my 130 ... photos

Featured Replies

It's been a good summer with the 130 and AutoTests, I've learnt a lot about handling and the importance of keeping the mechanics and cooling tip-top.

This is the 130 LSE, I'm setting up the other 130 for PCTs (hill trials) and other motorclub fun ...

Vrooom, vroooom ...

It's alright, he didn't crash!

Strange you get use to seat belts. I am getting into vintage cars and you feel exposed. I am hoping to compete in one in the next year or so, so that means driving one quick without seat belts, brakes and an interesting gear change. So safety is relative, the worst you would expect in a field is a roll at low speed, its probably going to be a trip to A&E though.

Ref seat belts, never mind safety; they help hold you in place, so you get better control of the car, so you can go faster! There you are; a justification for seat belts (from a guy who doesn't use his brakes because all they do is slow you down).

As for cooling, thought about using an electric fan? How about replacing the mechanical water pump with an electric one?
