loss of power

Featured Replies

Hi folks

can anyone help - had a loss of power today

gave my vRS a bit of welly today (not over 70 obviously) after slowing I seemed to loose power. It seemed that the turbo was not kicking in as I still had power but nothing like ususal.

I pulled over and raised the bonnet (not sure why as I have no idea what I'm looking at), but when I restarted all was back to normal.

Does anyone have any ideas or advice.

thanks

I had this a couple of months ago, turned out to Mass Air Flow.

was less than £60 to fix.

if there was more smoke than normal may point to turbo problem

limp mode...

It would be worth getting it checked for fault codes, that will probably shed some light on the cause.

I didn't notice any more smoke that normal so I may get it checked if it happens again. Luckily I have a 12month warranty.

thanks
