Engine Mounting

Featured Replies

I have a 03 Skoda Superb 2.5 TDI. I have been getting creek noise from the passenger side suspension. I have changed all the suspension arms and the noise still keeps coming.

I have found out that the passenger side engine mounting is the one which is causing all the noise, I rang the dealer and he said that these aren't bound to be failing.

I am planning to change the engine mounting with a used engine mounting. My question is by changing the engine mounting with a used one, will it fail again in the future?? Or shall i buy a new one?? Has anyone experienced similar problems with the engine mounting??

VAG engine mounts do fail. They're hydraulic mounts and leak a dark red fluid when they are knackered.

How does one detect this Roto? is there a stain to look for or does it just fail.

Usually a red stain on the engine bearer.
