Hi,

The drivers side front window on my octavia has dropped.

I want to know if the this bit of kit (VW Teesside - Online Shop - VW MK4 Golf Bora 4 Door Regulator Kit) can be fitted onto the octavia.

I would like to fit the golf kit because it has metal clips which last longer then the plastic clips the octavia has.

I had the same problem with the drivers side rear window and replaced it with the window regulator clip from skoda but that broke again after a year or so and I need to get that fixed as well.

I think the answer is that the Golf parts are not interchangeable with the Octavia ones. I see the same firm still offers the stock plastic clips on Ebay for around £7.00. In the USA I think an improved plastic version is available (also on Ebay) but I am unsure if it fits European models.
