ARB Size ?

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Serviced my standard 1.6 petrol 2003 Octavia and am in the mood to fix everything now.

The AR bushings need changing due to noise - so question is - what size do I need to order.

Can measure at weekend with a caliper but would like to order today.

Will I order new clamps also at the same time ?

will anti-seize copper grease be ok to lube them with ?

thanks again folks,

such a super forum -for help, tech tips etc

look at the droplinks - if they are plastic, definitely 21mm bar, get new style bushes and new style clamps. (0AL type)

Febi 23366 + Febi 22804 + Zedig ARL1008 is the full set bushes/clamps/droplinks

It could be a 19mm or a 21mm ARB on this model. Suggest you quote your reg when asking for parts. If you phone dealer up and ask for the part number for the ARB bushes, bracket and bolts etc for you engine type you can then use them to order from a none dealer if that is what you intend to do.

Yes you can use copper grease on the bushes.

if you want to drop me your reg i'll get you the genuine part numbers if that helps!

links 1J0 411 315 J

arb bushes 1J0 411 314 R

modified clamps 1J0 411 336 D

if the bushes havent been changed you'll need the clamps as the new bushes have a groove running down them which wont fit the old clamps :-)
