When did the Octavia go from Mk1 to Mk2?

Featured Replies

I have just bought a 56 plate UK vRS diesel - is that a Mk1 or a Mk2. Am trying to find mudflaps for it......

56 plate will be a mk2

it also looks different to the mk1!

There was some very late mk1 vrs models but the mk1 didn't come in a VRS deisel version,so yours must be a mk2.

Thanks - now to get the mudflaps sorted.

Your dealer may tell you that mudflaps don't fit a vRS or that they're 'unavailable', this of course is nonsense as a fair few on here have fitted them relatively easily albeit with a bit of persuasion and 'moulding' to the wheel arch.

Try a 'search' for other threads relating to this subject as it's been covered before

Not entirely sure if its the front or rear mudflaps your after. The front ones should be easy to fit on the mk2.

But i've heard the rear ones dont fit the Mk2 VRS bumper, but Im guessing by Makefish's comment that it is do able though?

The Mk1 shape was still available up till late as for use as a taxi i believe?
