Hi mate, this is one of those much discussed problems on this forum as Bosch and Skoda wipers (I suspect there the same) both go rigid and "set" in their resting position when in cold weather, this causes them to judder down up the screen till they are warm and pliable again, I know of someone having exactly the same problem with Bosch wipers on their Mondeo.

I have tried many different wipers and the only wipers that I have found that don't suffer are the Valeo X-TRM, I have had 2 pairs of these on my car and never had a problem, I recommended them to the Mondeo man and he was really with the performance. see link below

for the budget minded.

Best ones are maintained ones, when you wash the car get a cloth and either put some WindX or white vinegar on it and run the cloth the length of the blade, you'll see th muck in the cloth and you should get a nice wipe again.

i bought a set from halfords.one blade is straight and the other (passenger side) curved..works rather well....not cheap.....but then a skoda isnt that cheap is it lol
