CD Multichanger Fault

Featured Replies

Before I rip it out of the boot...

Yesterday I could play CD's (how 1990's). This morning I took the magazine out to change the CD's. But, when I tried to put the magazine back in the unit; it just pops straight up again.

The head unit now doesnt appear to know that a CD multichanger is there anymore.

Have I just lost power to the autochanger? How easy is it to fix? Or is it something more serious?

Dave.

Does sound like a fuse or broken connection from what you describe...

If you've had a leaking wiper pipe at the rear then it's worth checking and cleaning up the connects to the CD changer.

I havent had anything (that I know of) leaking, but given the recent drop in temperatuire there is condensation which might be the root cause. Do I need to remove the changer to get at the connections or are they accesible with it in situ?

re the suggestion of changing a fuse, is the changer on a seperate fuse to the HU, as this still works?

my multichanger has decided it doenst want to work! When i select cd on the head unit it flashes up cd0 tr 0 for about 2 seconds then returns to radio. It has discs in the mutlichanger and these were playing fine until it gave up!

Now i cant get the head unit to select the changer or cant get the unit to eject the cd cassette. any ideas? Is it on its own fuse?

Hope to hear replies!!
